When you come to 71 Dental for Invisalign treatment there is a process that, although slightly different for each patient, tends to be made up of the following stages:
Stage One - Consultation & Planning
To begin, we invite you to visit our friendly clinic to discuss your Invisalign treatment.
If you are suitable for Invisalign we will provide you with a transparent treatment plan, including costs and information on how the process works.
Once you’re happy with everything we will take a scan of your mouth using an innovative digital scanner. Using the information we collect we create a special 3D visual to show your teeth as they are now, and how they will look at each stage of treatment. During this stage we can check you’re happy and make any adjustments needed to refine the results.
This initial stage may be divided into two parts as we sometimes need time to create the 3D visual plan. Once everything is complete, we will order your first set of bespoke aligners, which should take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Stage Two - The Invisalign Treatment
You’ll get a call to let you know that your bespoke aligners are ready. You’ll be shown how to wear them, care for them, and how often to keep them in, which is about 22 hours a day on average. Usually, you’ll wear a new set of aligners every week, each one gently moving your teeth into a new position.
Stage Three - Treatment Is Completed & Aftercare Begins
Every treatment plan is different, but most plans are completed within around 6-12 months. At the end of your treatment we may then do some detail work to perfect the results. We will also talk to you about retainers to maintain the beautiful straight results you’ve achieved through Invisalign.
